The SARISTU project is glad to announce its strong participation in the 7th European Aeronautics Days held on 20-23 October 2015 at the QEII Centre in London, UK. The event was attended by more than 1000 delegates, 280 key speakers and 90 exhibitors and was a resounding success acting as a positive enabler for industry, governments, the European Commission, research institutions, academia and many others to come together to present strategic perspectives and achievements in aviation research and innovation. The three day conference included technical sessions, research and technology showcases and a host of keynote addresses from Aviation CEOs, European Commissioners, UK Ministers and heads of key Agencies.
SARISTU was present at this event by hosting a dedicated booth where project related posters were displayed and leaflets were available for distribution. Also, a copy of the SARISTU related book entitled “Smart Intelligent Aircraft Structures (SARISTU) – Proceedings of the Final Project Conference” published by Springer was available for a quick look by the participants. In addition, the demonstrators created within the project, i.e., the SARISTU wing and the SARISTU fuselage related demonstrators, were exhibited in this event enabling the participants to actually “touch” and have a close view of the significant foregrounds developed within the project. Finally, a brief SARISTU presentation of the project’s achieved results was made by the project Coordinator, Mr. Piet Woelcken, and also SARISTU information was hosted at the EASN booth as well.
It is worth noting that significant interest was shown by the participants of this event to the SARISTU project and its significant results highlighting once more the significant impact and contribution of the project to the aeronautics community.
